Uploader! is a simple-to-use software program that facilitates a fast method for uploading files to your personal websites via FTP. It doesn't integrate complicated options or customization preferences, making it suitable for all types of users, even those with little experience in such apps.
Simple installation and interface After a brief and uneventful setup operation, you are welcomed by a user-friendly interface made from a small window with a plain and simple structure, where you can upload files with one click. Before doing so, however, it's necessary to configure FTP server settings when it comes to the address, user name and password. What's more, you can specify a remote starting directory, enable or disable passive FTP (PASV), as well as ask the tool to verify to save the password in preferences. During the uploading job, you can check out a progress bar, along with the currently processed file, current and total bytes written. There are no other notable options available here. Evaluation and conclusion We haven't come across any unpleasant surprises in our tests as far as stability is concerned, thanks to the fact that Uploader! didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. It transferred files in reasonable time while remaining light on the system resources, using low CPU and RAM. On the other hand, the app implements only some basic FTP uploading options. We should also keep in mind that it hasn't been updated for a long time. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself.
